Chairman’s Brief 23/02/19

Good Morning Comrades

Allow me to update you on the key engagments that I attended in the past few days.

Zim Embassy Reception

On Monday I attended a reception at the Zimbabwe Embassy hosted to support and appreciate Miss Blessing Mutamba the newly crowned Miss Ireland International. Blessing was born in Zimbabwe and is very keen to use her crown to support good community initiatives run by Zimbabweans here in the UK and back home. Kindly let me know if you need the Princess to grace any of your projects.

Briefing With the Ambssador

While at the Embassy I had an opportunity to be also briefed by HE Ambassador Retired Col Katsande on the progress of our government’s Re-engagment pathway with the International Community, UK and EU included.

During the briefing I also gave the Ambassador feedback from the Zimbabwe Diaspora Committee (ZDC) as Vice Chairman. I informed him on progress made so far by the Clusters initiated last year. He was very pleased by the achievements being made by all the relevant Clusters.

Meeting with War Veterans Association (UK) Leader

This week I also met with Cde Thando Shambira the current leader of the War Veterans Association in the UK. During our meeting we agreed for the Party and the War veterans to strengthen collaboration and to work together since we belong to the same political fabric. Conversely, I will be inviting Cde Shambira to attend our next General Members Meeting with his colleagues so that you can all meet them and hear more about the good work they are doing.

Solidarity Message

Lastly Comrades let me encourage you all at this juncture; to remain resolute in supporting the economic reforms being implemented by our government back home. We should welcome and embrace the recently announced Monetary Policy by the RBZ. It’s the best possible solution given our circumstances.

Zimbabwe is on track to recovery aganist all odds.

Lets remain positive and support our President and government in delivering the (3Rs) Reform, Restructure and Rebuilding our country.

Be rest assured that under these measures, our government is doing its level best to turnaround the economy and to ensure that Vision2030 becomes a reality.

They need our support now more than ever. #Sisosonke

Thank you

Have a wonderful weekend
